While visiting a wildlife park in Florida, I noticed that the sign at the alligator exhibit stated that West Virginia is the northern range of the American alligator. Are there wild alligators in West Virginia? I have challenged the wildlife park to either change its sign or provide scientific evidence that alligators are indigenous to West Virginia.
